Chili Con Carne

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. of your choice of meat
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • ¾ cup beef broth/stock, divided
  • 14 oz. red kidney beans or chili beans, drained
  • 14 oz. brushed tomato
  • ¼ cup tomato paste
  • 1.5 tsp. of each: cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, paprika
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. pepper

Directions

  1. Reheat meat per our Reheating Instructions.
  2. Saute garlic, onion, and bell pepper in oil until brown.
  3. Add ½ cup beef broth and bring to a simmer. Add into crockpot.
  4. Add beans, tomato, tomato paste, remaining beef broth, and spices. Combine.
  5. Add meat and cook on low for 8 hours. Stir before serving.
  6. Dish into a big bowl and garnish with your favorite toppings: sour cream, avocado, cheese, etc.
  7. Serve with corn chips or cornbread.
  8. Enjoy!
