The meat is frozen when we package it, and we put it in a cooler with ice packs for shipment. Depending on your location, it may arrive frozen or partially thawed. You can refreeze the meat upon arrival or put it in your refrigerator to thaw.
Due to the nature of the product, Bret’s BBQ Burnt Ends and the shredded cheese for Hot Beef Sundaes will feel soft and malleable upon arrival. It may remain this way in a standard freezer as well because these products require a lower temperature for solid freezing.

We accept all debit and credit cards as well as PayPal. We are unable to accept EBT cards at this time, but we hope to accept this payment method in the future, if regulations permit.

Don’t worry! The meat is frozen and packed with ice packs, so your meat should be okay sitting out on a summer day. But you will also receive an email notification when your order is delivered, so you can know how long it will be outside. Still worried? We offer business delivery as well if that works better with your schedule!

Yes! We offer curbside service Monday through Friday 9 am–11 am and 1 pm– 4 pm in Ames, Iowa. The address for pickup is provided at checkout.
Yes! We offer subscriptions on all our products to be renewed every week, 2 weeks, or month. You can subscribe for any of our two package MEATBOXes with a 10% off discount. You can also subscribe for the Small Bundle for the standard 10% or the Family Bundle for the standard 20% discount.
Just select your subscription option when you add the product to the cart or in the checkout. Before placing your order, it will confirm all the details and ask if you would like your subscription shipped on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
